Join us as we partner with WKTV and train for the greatest 15K road race along with the Go the Distance Program.

What is Go The Distance?

"Go The Distance" is a community-focused training program run by NEWSChannel 2 (WKTV) in Utica, that helps local runners prepare for the Boilermaker 15K race. It’s especially geared toward people who want support, guidance, and motivation as they train to complete this popular distance.

Who is this program for?

This program is for anyone that has never completed the 15K Boilermaker Race, and is willing to commit to the 12 week program where you will be required to train 3 times a week.

What It Offers

Coaching & Support: Participants receive structured training plans, coaching tips, and encouragement as they build up distance and confidence toward race day.

Accountability & Community: The program fosters accountability through regular check-ins, group activities, and community support so runners stay motivated.

Media Exposure: As a WKTV initiative, Go The Distance highlights participating runners in weekly local media features, sharing their progress and stories along the way.
